  Queen Elizabeth I

In this section, we have extensively quoted Queen Elizabeth I, who ruled England & Ireland for 44 years from 1558 to 1603. This may appear strange or out of place to many, but our reasons are:

Elizabeth I's words are documented and available to us authentically.
She presided over a growing empire for a long period in exciting era of history and was even popular with her subjects. So she is well quaified to 'preach'.
She had experienced very adverse circumstance in her life, which makes a person realistic, if not humble. For example, her mother, Anne Boleyn, was executed by her father HenryVIII (Elizabeth's father & Anne's husband). She was declared an illegitimate child.
Her succssion to the throne was an uncertain. She was jailed for about one year in Tower of London, the very place where her mother was executed.
After becoming the queen she did not marry and remained virgin all thru her life. In other words, dedicated to the task of kingship without any diversions.
